Disney's New Princesses

As you all know, Camp Rock, Hanna Montana, Wizards of Wavery Place has gone sky high with ratings that preview on the Disney Channel. On Hanna Montana, isn't there a episode with a feud between Hanna and Mikayla (played by Selena Gomez)? Does anyone really think that they really do not like each other in real life? I know it's pretty cliche of me to talk about the disney channel, but you have to admit that they are kind of taking over! haha I think that out of all the talent, Demi Lovato has the most talent. Hanna Montana is in my opinion, cocky. She isn't good whatsoever. I just hope that she knows that, but i think she's using her dad's fame to an advantage! That's what I think. Selena Gomez is pretty much best friends with Demi Lavato. I think Hanna Montana is pretty much on everyone's bad side.
I found this on TMz, thinking it was quite funny. Just because they show smiles but what happens after the camera is done shooting? haha just something i always found curious.

Sonic Unleashed

The trill and excitement a child or even adult had when playing the original Sonic game was priceless. Sonic the Hedgehog made his debut on the Sega Genesis in 1991. Sonic became one of the world's best-known video game characters, with his series having sold 45 million copies. The great success came from the fun and humorous battles that reached to many people's hearts.

The Sonic legacy continued and in the next year Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was released. With a sidekick introduced, it out sold the first release. Then in 1998 Sonic became the first to take place in a fully 3D world, aping the achievements of Mario 64 two years earlier, and it was the first to feature a full voice cast.

Sonic did fall in 2003 when the critics disliked the effects and plot. Society was shifting to a different stage considering the new hit games were Grand Theft Auto and Halo. So as a result, Sonic introducing Shadow the Hedgehog in 2005. It failed miserably. The new Hedgehog swore, used guns, well the complete opposite to Sonic. The public wasn't a fan of the change and completely ignored it.

Realizing their big mistake, Sega turned to the more friendlier side and team up with Mario for a friendly competition at the the Beijing Olympics.

Out this year, Sonic Chronicles sees noted Knights of the Old Republic, which is a real new departure for the series. Sonic the Hedgehog has gone through many changes, but the adventures and trill is certainly worthwhile.

Oasis??

Now a days, if you ask someone here in the states who Oasis are they would just look at you with a black face; however, in Britain, it's a totally different story. Oasis started in the 90s releasing great hits and slamming the charts with amazing Anglo anthems. U.S. top 10 hit "Wonderwall" and "Champagne Supernova" practically made them the Biggest Band of the Planet. They were known everywhere, but then out of the blue they disappeared.

What happened to them? Sadly, Britpop never quite took off here in the States. Spin magazine declared Teenage Fanclub's Bandwagonesque the top album of 1991, but a little American-made album called Nevermind stole all its thunder. Other British bands caught up with legal problems and so nowadays the only real British-band success story in America, is Coldplay.

But Oasis probably don't care, as they're still one of Biggest Bands On The Planet. They've sold more than 50 million records worldwide; have racked up eight number-one singles in Britain; and have won 15 NME Awards, five Brit Awards, and nine Q Awards. Their 2005 album Don't Believe The Truth was their most successful and critically heralded in years, and their seventh studio album Dig Out Your Soul is garnering similarly high praise.

Even though Oasis had its rough times, their music and souls will live forever.

Iron Man Becomes the Best Selling Blu-Ray!!

Nobody can't forget the on going action and suspense from the movie Iron Man. The incredible effects and the drama made everyone fall off their seat. Many people watched it not only once, but two or three times. Iron Man made a huge impact on the public and also to the makers.

Earning over $315 million in the domestic box office to date, IRON MAN lifts off with high-speed, high-flying action when jet-setting industrialist Tony Stark survives an unexpected attack in enemy territory and escapes by building a high-tech robotic suit of armor. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man. Straight from the pages of the legendary comic book, IRON MAN is a hero who is built -- not born -- to be unlike any other!

Delivering non-stopping success in the box office and now being released to the public to own, the Super Hero has soared to new selling records. The two-DVD set contains many entertaining features making the movie even more worthwhile. But the one release that has people buzzing about is the two disc Blu-ray. It offers even more exclusive content for an incredible entertainment experience including a "Hall of Armor" that allows fans to enter the Stark database to zoom in on any of the three Iron Man suits -- or Iron Monger. They can then activate the digital 3-D schematics to check out every weapon and the full high-definition renders let users fly around each suit to explore each of the armors in comprehensive detail.

The great success of the soaring Hi-Def Features on Blu-ray edition of Iron Man has already outsold every other Blu-ray disc release to date. That’s a pretty impressive accomplishment for only two days on store shelves.

The incredible features on Blu-ray are only the beginning. The fast moving pace of the movie industry will have not only people watching the movie but actually be in it.

Weekend Box Office

It was a surprising weekend for the box office. Previous weeks number one went to Eagle Eye starring Shia LaBeouf was expected to take the top spot again this weekend. But a little doggy must have swept him off his feet cause the family movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua took in $29 million making it number 1 this weekend. Eagle Eye took in $17.7 million this weekend making it number 2. Rounding out the top three is the Michael Cera hipster, teen, rom-com flick Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist with $11.6 million in ticket sales. Kirsten Dunst's movie did HORRIBLY this weekend. Her new film, How To Alienate Friends opened in wide release this weekend and played to pretty much empty theaters. Drunkst's movie made a paltry $1.4 million!!! That's horrible for the movie business. Maybe if they would have done a better job advertising it more people would have known that it was coming and perhaps gone to see it.

Veep debates draw attention

Let me talk a little bit about the recent Vice Presidential debates. OK I know, I know you're asking: what is a commentary on politics doing in an entertainment blog? Well why not? At least since the TV became a staple in America's culture, politics and the show business has been very closely intertwined. Celebrities and politicians draw rating alike, with the more media savvy ones getting the love from the viewers.

Just recently, we had Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska and Senator Joe Biden of Delaware duke it out onstage. It was one of the most watched VP debates in history and as a political junkie I can see why. With a significant portion of the population believing our nation to be in trouble, I expect folks to be concerned about the plans of their next leaders. Another reason for all the excitement though probably has to do with the backgrounds of Gov. Palin and Sen. Biden. Palin, a greenhorn in national politics, has been drawing curiosity among many people. Biden, meanwhile, who has been dubbed the "gaffe machine" is known for his fiery tongue and no-BS straight talk.

Both Biden and Palin stood their ground, although Biden's experience made him a clear winner. To Palin's credit, however, I agree with CNN's assessment that she has "lived naother day". She carried herself well and was very poised, but stopped short of actually making a significant change in public opinion, which ahs been favoring the Obama-Biden ticket.

Nonetheless, it was a good debate (though with less fireworks than I expected), and I hope that Americans would be better educated to vote this November.

Ice Cube's sensitizing new music vid

Ice Cube recently released a video of his song "Why Me?", which featured the family of a 17 year old teen who was murdered near his home. The boy,Jamiel Shaw Jr., was said to be a football player in high school who was on his way to college with a scholarship. Shaw's promising future seems to be the salt to the injury. An illegal immigrant gang member named Pedro Espinoza is said to be the suspect in Shaw's death, although he has pleaded not guilty. Reports said that Espinoza had killed Shaw after "asking him about his gang affiliation." AP reported that Shaw did not belong to any gangs.

Ice Cube decided to put Shaw's real family instead of "a bunch of actors" to get his point across. He said that he finds gun violence murders very "tragic" and "ugly". But while Shaw's family is pushing for the passage of "Jamiel's Law", which would crack down on illegal immigrants in gangs, the rapper said that his music video was not endorising such measure.

"You've got a person being killed by a person he don't know for a reason he don't know ... Who cares if it was an immigrant or if it was a taxpaying citizen?" Ice Cube said in an AP article.
