Comedic Genius: Will Ferrell

If you dont know who Will Ferrell is, then you must have grown up in a cave for all of your years. He is responsible for starring and really making a movie a blockbuster that no one will ever forget. With his two most famous movies, Anchorman and Talladega Nights, he adds this latest blockbuster to the list, Step Brothers. John William "Will" Ferrell born July 16, 1967, is an Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated American comedian, actor, voice actor, and writer who first established himself as a cast member of Saturday Night Live, and has since gone on to a successful film career, starring in the comedies A Night at the Roxbury (1998), Old School, Elf (both 2003), Anchorman (2004), Kicking & Screaming (2005), Talladega Nights, Stranger than Fiction (both 2006), Blades of Glory (2007), Semi-Pro and Step Brothers (both 2008). He is considered a member of the Frat Pack, a generation of leading Hollywood comic actors to emerge in the late 1990s and the 2000s including Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Steve Carell, Vince Vaughn, and brothers Owen and Luke Wilson. In 2007, Autograph magazine named Ferrell the worst celebrity autographer. Its' editor stated, "What's so frustrating about Will Ferrell being the worst autograph signer this past year is that he used to be so nice to fans and collectors and a great signer. What makes him so bad is that he'll taunt people asking for his autograph." In response, Ferrell has stated, "I don't know how I got on the list. I sign a lot of autographs," but has admitted to taunting autograph-seekers: "I do. I really do. I'm like, 'How badly do you want this autograph?' 'Are you sure?' 'You say you're my biggest fan, really, prove it.' I'll do things like that. They have to earn it."Ferrell has noted that, though he is well known for his SNL impersonation of President George W. Bush, he chose not to meet the President on several occasions, unlike his SNL predecessor Dana Carvey's famous chummy relationship with George Bush, Sr., for both professional and political reasons: "I declined, partly out of comedic purposes, because when I was on the show [Saturday Night Live] at the time, it didn't make sense to really meet the people that you play, for fear of them influencing you. And then the other side of it is, from a political standpoint, I don't want to meet that guy."

Harry Potter movie pushed to next summer

Originally slated to come out in November of this year, the newest silver screen installation of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, will instead be released in July 17 2009. An MTV news article reported that Warner Bros "had reconsidered the timing based on the overall market as well as the recent writers' strike," which had affected the production of scripts. President and CEO of Warner Bros. said that summer is the best season to put out movies like Harry Potter, having the highest prospect of drawing large audiences. There were rumors that production was falling behind schedule, but Warner Bros. dismissed this saying that the next Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will come out on the date its is promised to be released. In fact, the release delay was actually viewed positively by some Harry Potter fans because "'the gap will now be shortened between the release of 'Half-Blood Prince' and the first installment of 'Deathly Hallows'."

Life imitates art.

Craig Robinson went beyond his camera role as a drug runner in the recent pot-laden movie Pineapple Express when he was arrested in Culver City, California last July 29 for illegal drug possession. He is currently being charged with three felony counts. Robinson is being accused of having ecstasy and Meth "and being under the influence of cocaine, amphetamines and cannabinoids (most likely marijuana, although possibly other medications)." The actor was initially stopped by police after disobeying traffic laws.

Robinson is one of Hollywood's upcoming actors, having a short cameo in the movie Knocked Up and a relatively minor role in the TV series "The Office". He is set to appear in the movie Zack and Miri Make A Porno with Seth Rogen (Pineapple Express, Knocked Up), the filming of which has been completed this year. MTV News reported that TMZ was unable to get a comment from Craig Robinson or any of "the actor's representatives".

Leo is Not Going to Be Happy

Remember the good ol' days when Victoria Secret Model Gisele Bundchen and Leonardo DiCaprio were together? And how he lost her to Kelly Slater? Well bad news for Leo, cause it happened again! Leonardo DiCaprio used to date supermodel Gisele Bundchen, who is now boning football stud Tom Brady. Pro surfer Kelly Slater, has also dated Bundchen - not to mention Pamela Anderson and Cameron Diaz. Now, Israeli media is reporting that DiCaprio's has broken up with Israeli model Bar Rafaeli. AND, making things far more interesting, Bar was in Israel this past weekend with Slater, who was detained by local police after he got too aggressive with a paparazzo that was trying to take pics of him and Rafaeli. A similar incident happened earlier this year with DiCaprio and Bar. Wonder what Leo thinks of this weekend's happenings???? In other news, DiCaprio is one of the most high paid actors in Hollywood. The top 10 best paid actors in Hollywood have out earned female actresses 2-1 over the last year! Collectively, the top male actors took home approximately $487 million this year - as opposed to the leading ladies who brought in $244.5 million. And, of that, the highest paid male actor is surprisingly Will Smith. Smith took home an estimated $80 million during the last year!!!! Johnny Depp is second on the list of top paid actors, making $72 million in the last year. And coming in third is Eddie Murphy with $55 million. Coming in fourth is Mike Meyers, followed by Leonardo DiCaprio.

Another Batman Sequel?

As most of you have already seen, The Dark Knight was awesome movie. So i guess it wouldn't be such a bad idea to cash in on all that success by creating yet another sequel, right? But what will they do with the Heath Ledger's character "The Joker"? Will they cast another character for the part, or write out the joker completely? As you know, the upcoming movie The Dark Knight will feature Batman battling it out with the Joker and Two Face. The original plan was to have the Joker, played by Heath Ledger, return for the next film. However, given that after his death they more than likely won't recast for the role, some changes have been made and the next villain has been revealed. If another Batman flick is made, he will then be going up against the Riddler. The last Riddler was played by Jim Carrey in Batman Forever, though no word on if he'll return. More likely than not - he won't. Actor Gary Oldman, who plays Lt James Gordon, says of casting choices for the next film, "I don't see why not. I mean, they did it with Katie Holmes' character. I understand that this is a different circumstance, but I think another actor could do the job. I think Heath would want another actor to do the job. Maybe we don't need the Joker. Because we'll have The Riddler." Katie's character, Rachel Dawes, will now be played by Maggie Gyllenhaal. You know Katie is too "big" now for a Batman movie.

Rihanna and Chris Brown were up in tha clubs in London on Saturday. They reportedly were singing one another's songs and locking lips at hot spot Prophecy. On that same night, they were also spotted at Paper Club grinding and getting their freak on the dancefloor. Rihanna also did some sexy dance for Chris to Britney Spears Piece of Me. An onlooker reported, “They spent the first 45 minutes just staring into each other’s eyes. We were amazed at how open and flirtatious they were. ”Trying to be cool, the pair were pictured leaving Paper separately above. Why…after the performance inside? Did they really think no one would talk?! They should just come out clean with their relationship already. Its totally obvious.
