RIP: Bernie Mac


Bernie Mac did a great job of adding laughter to the showbiz industry. But today, I doubt very seriously his fans are laughing hard. The comedian has passed away at the age of 50 in Chicago from "complications due to pneumonia", according to Bernie Mac's publicist, Danica Smith. The comedian has garnered acclaim throughout his career, particularly in his award-winning show, "The Bernie Mac Show". He has also appeared Born in the Chicago's south side, it is not too surprising that the comedian decided to throw his support behind Democratic presidential candidate, Barack Obama, who was once a community organizer in that area. There was recent news of him being booed by an Obama fund raising crowd after a few vulgar jokes, but that small mistake cannot tarnish the legend that is Bernie Mac. His career was rooted in humble beginnings, working his way up from playing a minor role in the 1992 comedy, Mo Money to being a Hollywood superstar.
